Creative Self-Discovery Retreat in the Azores

Following breakfast, we will take a leisurely stroll to the shoreline. Here, we will initiate the day with a cleansing ritual by the sea—harnessing the ocean's rhythm to anchor ourselves fully in the here and now. It serves as a lovely invitation to ground yourself and embrace the experiences that lie ahead. After lunch, you will have personal time to unwind. Later in the afternoon, you will participate in a 90-minute breathwork session. Through mindful instruction, you will discover how your breath can be a tool for restoring equilibrium, finding inner strength, and reconnecting with your core. We will gather again in the evening for a nourishing dinner.

We will start the day before breakfast with gentle stretching and a brief meditation. This morning, we will immerse ourselves in the soothing practice of Forest Bathing, inspired by the Japanese art of Shinrin-Yoku. During this mindful excursion, we will decelerate and awaken our senses, allowing the woodland environment to guide us into a state of profound peace and relaxation. After lunch, we will transition from nature to nurturing our creativity. You will create a personal mood board using an array of natural and artistic materials. This is a potent method to investigate your innermost desires and give tangible form to what is stirring within you. Dinner will be served on-site.

After breakfast, you will join your guide in the studio for a vocal empowerment workshop. The distinctive coaching approach is designed to help you amplify your voice, enhance your presence, and boost your ability to communicate with confidence and clarity. Following lunch, we will journey to the Capelinhos volcano. This site, shaped by a marine eruption in 1957/1958, offers a glimpse into a mystical and rugged terrain. We will explore the compelling Interpretation Center. After dinner, we will conclude another fulfilling day by gathering around the fire to share inspiring narratives.

The morning begins with a picturesque drive to the island's summit, arriving at the stunning Caldeira of Faial. Here, we will embark on a meditative walk along the crater's edge. Enveloped by sweeping vistas, we will enjoy a tranquil picnic in the wild. After a brief rest back at our base, the afternoon invites you to engage in creative discovery. Try or revisit something you are passionate about—whether it be painting, dancing, singing, crafting, or improvisational theater. There is no expectation, only joyful and pressure-free expression. Before dinner, we will gather for a relaxed aperitif at the bar.

We will kick off the day with ecstatic dance - a free-form, intuitive movement practice where you are encouraged to express yourself through motion without judgment, choreography, or words. Following breakfast, your guide will lead you on a leisurely tour of Horta, the island's colorful harbor town. We will wander its charming streets and explore the historic heart of Horta. The marina is bustling with travelers from around the globe - a place where new journeys begin and goodbyes are said. You will hear captivating tales about whales, Pico wine, and undersea cable companies. We will have lunch in town. After eating, you will have free time to explore, shop, or simply absorb the atmosphere. Later in the afternoon, we will meet at the iconic sailors' pub, Peter Café Sport, known worldwide.

As this seven-day retreat concludes, you will return home feeling rejuvenated, re-energized, and spiritually refreshed. If you wish, you can choose to extend your stay for a few more days -either to discover the neighboring island of Pico or to continue relaxing with us.
